Job description

Seeking for an PowerBuilder Developer to provide maintenance and production support for a legacy business application. The role focuses on ensuring application stability, diagnosing issues efficiently, and implementing low-risk fixes. Responsibilities:

Investigate and resolve application incidents and support tickets.
Diagnose issues involving PowerBuilder, Data Windows, Power Script, SQL, Oracle, and related interfaces.
Analyze existing application code and data flows.
Create and maintain basic technical documentation.
Communicate findings, risks, effort estimates, and next steps clearly.
Support application builds and deployments when needed.
Provide support for applications written in .Net.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on PowerBuilder development experience.
Strong experience in maintaining and troubleshooting PowerBuilder applications.
Advanced knowledge of Data Windows and Power Script skills.
Ability to debug undocumented codebases.
Proficiency with PowerBuilder tools and strong SQL skills.
Experience with Oracle databases or ability to quickly adapt to the database environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with C# and Microsoft .NET.
Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, Web API, or Core.
Experience with financial applications.
Experience creating technical documentation for legacy applications.
Familiarity with source-control, backup, build, and release-management practices.
