Senior AI Engineer

A large financial organisation is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build and improve intelligent applications and software solutions. You will combine strong software engineering skills with practical experience in AI, working on solutions that can be integrated into existing applications and platforms. What you’ll do

• Develop and improve software applications using Python
• Build and integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into applications
• Work with LLMs and Generative AI where relevant
• Develop APIs and scalable backend services
• Integrate AI models and services with existing platforms and data sources
• Work with data engineers, software engineers and business stakeholders
• Explore solutions such as RAG, embeddings and vector databases
• Deploy, monitor and improve applications in a cloud environment
• Contribute to software architecture, development standards and best practices
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable and maintainable

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering or a related field
• Strong Python development skills
• Experience building and integrating software applications and APIs
• Practical experience with AI, machine learning or Generative AI
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Good understanding of software engineering principles and development practices
• Experience working with data and integrating different data sources
• Comfortable working in multidisciplinary Agile teams

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, Azure OpenAI or similar platforms
• Experience with RAG, embeddings or vector databases
• Experience with frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Experience with Databricks or Spark
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with MLOps or automated deployment pipelines
• Experience within financial services
• Knowledge of AI security, governance and responsible AI
