Development Lead

As a Development Lead, you will step into a hands-on technical leadership role, ideal for a senior developer ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll play a key role in shaping the development function, guiding engineering best practices, and leading the adoption of emerging technologies.

This is not a purely managerial position - you’ll remain close to the code while influencing technical strategy, architecture, and innovation across multiple platforms.

A core part of this role will involve driving the evolution of AI-enabled development, including leveraging prompt engineering, AI-assisted coding, and emerging “vibe coding” methodologies to enhance productivity and unlock new capabilities., * Lead and mentor a team of developers while remaining actively involved in hands-on development

• Shape and implement the technical vision, architecture, and development roadmap
• Drive adoption of AI-powered development practices (e.g. prompt engineering, AI copilots, automation tooling)

• Work across a multi-platform, tech-agnostic environment, including:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Microsoft Azure
• Salesforce ecosystem

• MuleSoft integrations

• Promote engineering excellence, best practices, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to ensure the business remains at the forefront of innovation

Please note - this role will require you to work from the London office a minimum of three days per week. You must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role - this organisation is not able to offer sponsorship., You’ll be a senior or lead-level engineer who is passionate about technology and excited by the opportunity to shape how modern development teams operate., * Proven experience as a Senior Developer / Tech Lead ready to step into (or already in) a leadership role

• Strong hands-on development background across multiple technologies and platforms
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience working with or alongside Salesforce and/or MuleSoft (or similar integration platforms)
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable systems

• A genuine interest in emerging AI technologies, including:

• Prompt engineering
• AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, LLMs)

• Modern development paradigms such as “vibe coding”

• Tech-agnostic mindset with the ability to adapt and learn across different stacks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Salary up to £110,000
