Job description

We are looking for a strong Angular and .NET Developer to play a central role in the ongoing development of our core business systems. This is a hands-on development role working closely with other Developers, Business Analysts, Testers and Product Owners to design, build and support high-quality, maintainable software. In particular:

· Designing and developing robust Modern .Net (C#) and Angular solutions that support critical business processes

· Building well-structured RESTful APIs and service-oriented components that integrate cleanly with other systems

· Working with SQL Server, messaging technologies, source control and modern engineering practices to deliver reliable software

Requirements

We use AI, including Copilot and agents, throughout our software development lifecycle and this will continue to expand. We will expect you to be confident and enthusiastic in your use of AI, while also recognising its limitations, understanding what can go wrong and knowing how to manage those risks.

SKILLS REQUIRED

You will be comfortable working in a collaborative development team, understanding business requirements, contributing to technical design decisions and delivering well-structured code that is reliable, maintainable and easy to support.

You will be able to demonstrate:

· Strong commercial experience with Angular

· Strong commercial experience with Modern .Net and C#

· Experience designing and developing service-oriented applications

· Practical understanding of RESTful API design, including clean resource modelling, error handling, versioning and security considerations

· Knowledge of asynchronous messaging and event-driven integration, ideally using MassTransit or a similar framework

· Confident use of Git and Git Flow branching practices in a team development environment

· Good SQL Server skills, including database design, querying, stored procedures and performance-aware development

· Ability to write clean, maintainable and testable code, with a pragmatic approach to software quality

· Awareness of gRPC and where it may be useful for service-to-service communication

· Bonus: Awareness of WPF and desktop application development concepts

· Bonus: Awareness of CQRS and Clean Architecture
