Requirements

  • 5+ years React and TypeScript, working day to day in a Next.js monorepo (styled-components, styled-system)
  • Hands-on WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA knowledge: diagnosing root causes and applying correct fixes, not just following lint output
  • Daily AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot), including writing and tuning prompts and commands to improve accuracy and cut false positives
  • Applying ARIA roles, attributes and hints correctly across design system components
  • Verifying fixes with VoiceOver, TalkBack, browser accessibility tools and axe-core / jest-axe / E2E accessibility tests
  • Accessibility strings managed as translation keys within i18n workflows

Beneficial:

  • Node.js scripting, custom ESLint rules, GitHub Actions CI, AWS S3, and managing many small PRs across team-owned areas
  • 2+ years React Native, including iOS and Android accessibility APIs and props
