Senior Staff UX Designer, Workspace GenAI Foundations Platform

Design and user experience (UX) are at the forefront of everything we do. The job of an Interaction Designer is to envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired, refined and even magical. In an Interaction Designer role, you’ll tackle complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs for billions of people around the world-from the first-time user to the sophisticated expert. Achieving this goal requires collaboration with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process-from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes. At each stage, you will anticipate what our users need, advocate for them and ensure that the final product surprises and delights them.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $236000 - $329000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits, * Drive high-impact product opportunities by bringing in market analysis, competitive insights, and user needs, then mapping this data directly to the UX experience strategy to inform product direction.

• Drive product ideas through with cross-functional teams and lead senior stakeholder decision-making by developing compelling narratives and compelling design proposals.
• Own the design and strategy for collaboration experiences that are critical to driving business impact across the Google Workspace suite.
• Inspire and lead cross-functional partners across the entire Google Workspace suite of product areas to ensure a unified user experience, always keeping the user at the center of the process.
• Own the UX strategy and design execution for multiple strategic areas within the Generative AI Foundations Platform.

Experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders; deep expertise in domain., * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 10 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions)., * Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in product design or UX.
• Experience building and launching products from the ground up, contributing to both product strategy and design execution.
• Experience designing for AI-powered products and services, with knowledge of the challenges and opportunities the technology presents.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and understand the technical implications of design decisions.
