Nursing Applications Support Analyst (L2)

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Applications Support Analyst (L2) to provide functional and technical support for nursing informatics applications, clinical decision support tools, nursing reference platforms, bedside documentation systems, and digital clinical content solutions. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless access to evidence-based nursing resources, supporting nursing workflows, maintaining system integrations, and enabling clinicians to effectively utilize digital tools at the point of care.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nursing operations, clinical documentation workflows, healthcare technologies, EMR integrations, and user support within acute care, ambulatory, and specialty healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

Nursing Application Support

• Provide L2 support for nursing applications, nursing knowledge resources, and clinical workflow tools.
• Support nursing workflows including:
• Bedside documentation
• Patient assessments
• Care planning
• Clinical interventions
• Shift handoff documentation
• Nursing care protocols
• Investigate and resolve application issues impacting nursing operations and patient care workflows.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, nurse informaticists, and clinical teams to optimize application usage and workflow efficiency.

Clinical Decision Support & Reference Tools

• Support nursing reference platforms, clinical knowledge databases, and evidence-based practice applications.
• Maintain access and functionality of:
• Clinical guideline repositories
• Nursing procedure documentation
• Drug reference resources
• Evidence-based care content
• Point-of-care clinical decision support tools
• Ensure clinicians have reliable access to current clinical content and nursing resources.

EMR Integration Support

• Support integration between nursing applications and Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) platforms.
• Manage and troubleshoot:
• Context-aware application launches
• Single Sign-On (SSO) access
• Embedded content links
• Clinical decision support integrations
• Patient-context synchronization
• Validate data exchange and workflow functionality between nursing systems and EMR platforms.

Mobile & Desktop Access Support

• Troubleshoot issues related to:
• Authentication and user access
• Application performance
• Mobile device connectivity
• Content loading and synchronization
• Browser and workstation compatibility
• Coordinate with infrastructure and endpoint support teams to resolve complex issues.

Clinical Education & User Support

• Provide application training and support to nurses and other clinical staff.
• Develop and maintain:
• User guides
• Quick reference materials
• Knowledge articles
• Training documentation
• Assist with onboarding and adoption of new nursing technologies and digital resources.
• Conduct end-user education sessions during upgrades, deployments, and workflow changes.

Content Management & Governance

• Manage clinical content updates and version control processes.
• Ensure nursing reference materials remain current and aligned with:
• Organizational policies
• Clinical standards
• Regulatory requirements
• Best practice guidelines
• Coordinate with vendors and content providers to implement updates and enhancements.
• Monitor content availability and address publishing or synchronization issues.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

• Ensure nursing applications and content remain compliant with:
• Joint Commission requirements
• CMS regulations
• State nursing regulations
• Clinical documentation standards
• Organizational governance policies
• Support compliance audits and documentation reviews.
• Assist in maintaining data privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA compliance.

Application Maintenance & Release Management

• Participate in application upgrades, content releases, patches, and maintenance activities.
• Perform impact assessments, testing, validation, and deployment support.
• Coordinate release activities with vendors, nursing informatics, and application teams.
• Maintain system documentation and configuration records.

Incident, Problem & Change Management

• Resolve complex incidents and service requests related to nursing applications.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring system or workflow issues.
• Participate in major incident management and escalation activities.
• Ensure compliance with SLA, change control, and service management processes.

Functional Skills - 5+years of experience in the below skills

• Strong understanding of nursing workflows including:
• Bedside documentation
• Patient assessments
• Nursing care planning
• Clinical protocols and pathways
• Point-of-care clinical decision making
• Knowledge of nursing informatics principles and clinical documentation practices.
• Experience supporting clinical staff in healthcare environments.

Technical Skills- 5+years of experience in the below skills

• Experience supporting nursing applications, clinical content platforms, and healthcare information systems.
• Experience with:
• EMR/EHR integrations
• Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies
• Context-aware application integrations
• Mobile healthcare applications
• Clinical decision support tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, web, and mobile environments.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability concepts is preferred.
• Working knowledge of reporting tools and data analysis., * Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Informatics, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Nursing, or related field.
• L2 Support: 4-7 years of experience supporting nursing applications, healthcare IT systems, or clinical informatics platforms.
• Experience working in acute care hospitals, health systems, ambulatory care networks, or clinical informatics teams.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $68,076 - 118,188. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
