Job description

The Data Center Critical Operations Engineer II operates, maintains, and troubleshoots critical facility systems to support reliable data center operations. This role requires an understanding of how electrical, mechanical, cooling, and fire and life safety systems interact. The engineer also supports customer infrastructure projects, responds to operational issues, and provides technical guidance to team members., * Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot critical data center systems.

  • Assess how changes to one facility system may affect other systems and data center uptime.
  • Respond to equipment issues and coordinate resolution with technicians, vendors, and customers.
  • Support customer infrastructure projects while following established operating and safety procedures.
  • Document operational activities and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to team members.

Requirements

  • Experience operating or maintaining critical electrical and mechanical systems in a data center or similar critical facility.
  • Ability to troubleshoot cooling and fire and life safety systems.
  • Understanding of system interdependencies and the operational risks of facility changes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers, vendors, and technical teams.
