Software Engineer III (Java & AWS)

The Principal Custody Solutions (PCS) team is hiring a Software Engineer to join their team! This role builds and supports automation solutions, integrating with databases and APIs, and collaborates closely with delivery and partner teams with a focus on driving measurable improvements in quality and operational efficiency.

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and lead process and design sessions.
• Design and develop Java-based applications.
• Build and maintain AWS cloud services and serverless solutions.
• Support production systems and resolve incidents.
• Participates in technical design of features. Focus on attaining expertise in more technical areas.
• Collaborate with the other technical teams to ensure high-quality integrations and reliable solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve workflow or system issues while providing ongoing technical support.
• Create and maintain documentation for solutions, processes, configurations, and standards.

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 3+ years work experience or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of Java and AWS is required.
• SQL experience is required.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience working with both legacy platforms and modernization initiative.

Additional preferred experience:

• Git / GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Test-driven development; DevOps practices.
• JavaScript; TypeScript; Python; Node.js; React; AWS CDK.

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $94000 - $127000 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible
