Senior Software Engineer

• Build and ship AI-powered features that turn product usage data into actionable customer suggestions.
• Own feature delivery end to end across frontend and backend, with a focus on TypeScript, Vue.js, DOM-level work, component architecture, and in-browser data capture.
• Validate problems, shape scope, and test direction by joining customer calls, testing prototypes, and using real feedback.
• Define success metrics for features and use product usage data to guide iteration.
• Use AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code as part of your daily workflow, applying sound engineering judgment and rigorous review to generated code.
• Help ensure AI-backed features are useful, understandable, and reliable by addressing latency, hallucinations, inconsistent output, and user trust.
• Collaborate directly with product, design, and engineering teammates, making pragmatic tradeoffs in ambiguous and fast-moving situations.
• Raise engineering standards through code review, mentorship, clear communication, sharing context, and unblocking teammates.

• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents through production work or personal projects.
• Full-stack engineering experience with a frontend focus, including strong TypeScript skills, comfort working with the DOM, and the ability to reason about backend services.
• At least 3 years of experience building and scaling web applications.
• Strong product judgment, including the ability to own ambiguous problems, shape scope, and make decisions without a fully specified brief.
• Experience defining feature success metrics and iterating based on real usage data.
• Experience engaging directly with customers or end users to validate problems and assess impact after launch.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and API development.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to mentor others, unblock teammates, and support the engineering teams growth.
• Nice to have: Experience working as or alongside a product manager, including writing specs, prioritizing a roadmap, or running discovery.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with product analytics tools such as Pendo, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.

This Senior Software Engineer role is full-stack with a frontend focus and is based in our Sheffield office. We have a hybrid culture, with three days per week in the office unless a role is designated remote. The expected salary range in Sheffield is 60,000-78,000.
