SCC Database Manager

• Perform Oracle database maintenance and update activities.
• Implement database changes through established change management processes.
• Release new databases into live environments.
• Maintain database change control documentation.
• Carry out routine backup, archiving and housekeeping activities.
• Diagnose and resolve database and system failures.

• Windows, We are hiring a Database Manager for a mission-critical programme based onsite in Chippenham on a 6-month contract at £41.71 per hour (Umbrella). This is a hands-on role supporting the maintenance, configuration and performance of Oracle databases within a secure operational environment. You will help ensure the reliability and availability of critical systems while working within approved change and configuration management processes. • 1-2 years experience in Oracle database administration or database/system support.
• Experience working within mission-critical, defence, aerospace or similarly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Oracle database administration.
• Experience supporting Linux environments, particularly RHEL and/or Solaris.
• Windows Server administration experience (2012/2022) is beneficial.
• Active SC Clearance is essential.
• British nationality is essential.
