• dbt, We are supporting a leading UK organisation in hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a 3-month contract, with the potential for extension, in a hybrid/remote working setup. This is a hands-on role within a growing data platform team, where we are focused on stabilising and improving existing data processes while strengthening data security and compliance. You will work across data landing zones and core data repositories, supporting a secure cloud-based environment that handles sensitive data and enables research and analytical outcomes. We are looking for a contractor who can operate effectively in an evolving environment and make an immediate impact.

• We need a senior-level data engineer with strong hands-on experience in SQL and data modelling.
• We need experience with the Azure data stack, including ADF, Synapse, Fabric, and Databricks.
• We need experience building ETL and ELT pipelines.
• We value experience with Python and PySpark, ideally.
• We need experience with DBT or similar data transformation tools.
• We need experience with orchestration tools such as ADF, Airflow, or Prefect.
• We need experience using CI/CD, Git, and Azure DevOps.
• We need someone who is comfortable working in secure or regulated environments.
• We need a delivery-focused professional who can work independently and hit the ground running.
• We prefer experience supporting sensitive data, data protection, pseudonymisation, and compliance-focused work.
