Job description

Develop and maintain production software for our internal and external customers
Contribute as an active member of our agile product teams and support team goals

We are Motability Operations, the company behind the Motability Scheme. We deliver smart, sustainable mobility solutions and are the UKs largest car leasing company, supporting more than 900,000 customers. Our 12-month placement is within our Technology divisions Software Engineering team and offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies, including AI, alongside software engineers, quality engineers, UX designers, business analysts, product specialists, product owners, and a Scrum Master. The programme focuses on making an impact, personal development, and a collaborative student project, with guidance from colleagues and a dedicated mentor. We are based in Bristol, London, Edinburgh, and Coalville and operate hybrid working across the organisation. Successful candidates will begin the placement on 5 July 2027.

Requirements

Be studying in the second year of a degree that includes a year in industry, and be ready to start a placement in July 2027
Be curious about technology and enjoy exploring or learning about new technologies through study, projects, or personal interests
Be passionate about learning technical and non-technical skills
Be excited to work from our Bristol office at least three days a week
Bring a collaborative, team-oriented approach and enthusiasm for learning, growing, and contributing; coding experience gained through university or personal interests is welcome
