Part-Time IT Systems Technician job in Atlanta

The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for a Part-Time IT Systems Technician. The Systems Technician’s mission is to configure, deploy, and support services and systems to provide innovative, flexible, dependable and effective University business applications. Supports multiple servers, platforms, and applications in testing, development and production environments. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with University goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements., * Configure and audit system outage alerts and security log auditing

• Audit and schedule system backups.
• Assist with systems migration to new hardware in lifecycle management.
• Performs other duties as assigned., * This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
• This position will not be required to drive.
• This role is considered a position of trust.
• This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card).
• This position will not travel.
• This position does not require security clearance.

• Good computer skills and detail oriented.
• Excellent teamwork skills and strong customer service orientation., * High School Diploma required., * Some college preferred.
• At least one year experience in IT or computer repair preferred Programming/Scripting knowledge a plus.
• Some related work experience in installing and configuring Microsoft Windows Servers and/or other experience with Microsoft Windows Enterprise products preferred.
