Job description
The temporary Information Technology Technician is responsible for supporting computer hardware, software applications, and services by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, software applications, software services and training users.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
- Establishes, modifies, and upgrades systems and applications by installing or updating computer hardware, software, and related services.
- Provides technical support to inter-departmental IT teams using foundational computer knowledge in one or more areas: Networking Infrastructure, Information Security, Systems Administration, Application Development, Technical Support.
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves issues by consulting with users and team members.
- Improves system performance by investigating current environment; integrating standard solutions.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned., u2022 Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours. \u2022 This role is an on campus, in-person position. \u2022 There are no harmful environmental conditions present for this job. \u2022 The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.

Requirements
u2022 High School Diploma or GED equivalency., u2022 Knowledge of current technology. \u2022 Knowledge to troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues. \u2022 Knowledge to build or repair and assemble parts. \u2022 Knowledge of operating systems and software applications. \u2022 Ability to communicate technical information to users.

Physical Requirements (With or Without Accommodations):
\u2022 Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information. \u2022 Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication. \u2022 Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions. \u2022 Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting. \u2022 Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.
