Design Engineer

This opportunity is ideal for an engineer with 3 to 10 years of experience who is looking to expand their technical expertise, take on additional project responsibilities, and contribute to meaningful civil infrastructure projects. You will work alongside experienced engineering professionals while gaining exposure to project design, client service, and project delivery. Candidates with experience in site/civil engineering, transportation, water/wastewater, or utility infrastructure are encouraged to apply. Your Primary Responsibilities will include:

• Develop engineering designs, plans, specifications, and construction documents for infrastructure, site development, water/wastewater, and transportation projects.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and modeling to support design decisions, including grading and drainage design, hydraulic modeling, and utility design.
• Prepare construction drawings and technical documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, environmental, mechanical, and electrical professionals.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Assist with technical reports, engineering studies, permit applications, and supporting documentation.
• Support project managers with project planning, scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and project tracking.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and data collection to support project development and validate existing conditions.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address technical questions and resolve project challenges.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and contractor submittals to ensure conformance with design intent during construction.
• Identify innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions that add value to our clients.
• Maintain accurate project records and follow established quality control standards and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3 to 10 years of engineering design experience in civil infrastructure, transportation, site development, or water/wastewater projects.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain licensure, preferred.
• Proficiency with engineering design software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and other applicable analysis or modeling tools.
• Working knowledge of applicable engineering codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing construction documents, technical specifications, and permit-related documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Willingness and ability to perform periodic field work, site visits, and inspections as required., The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
