Data Scientist - Generative AI

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist - Generative AI with 8 to 10 years of experience to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions with a strong focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), GenAI applications, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, production grade AI solutions., * Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI and Machine Learning models for real world business use cases

• Build and optimize LLM-based solutions (prompt engineering, fine tuning, RAG pipelines, agents)

• Work with structured and unstructured data (text, documents, logs, images where applicable)

• Develop end to end ML pipelines: data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment

• Apply NLP techniques such as text classification, summarization, embeddings, semantic search, and Q&A systems

• Integrate GenAI solutions using APIs and frameworks (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex)

• Collaborate with MLOps and Engineering teams to enable monitoring, versioning, and scalability

• Perform model evaluation, bias detection, and optimization for performance and cost

• Communicate insights and model outcomes effectively to technical and non technical stakeholders

• 8-10 years of experience in Data Science / Machine Learning roles

• Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit Learn)

• Hands on experience with Generative AI and LLMs

• Solid understanding of:

o Machine Learning algorithms (supervised & unsupervised)

o Deep Learning (Transformers, Neural Networks)

o NLP concepts and techniques

• Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar

• Familiarity with model fine tuning techniques (LoRA, PEFT preferred)

• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)

• Knowledge of MLOps tools and practices (MLflow, CI/CD, model monitoring)

• Experience with SQL and data querying from large datasets

Preferred Skills

• Experience building RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems

• Exposure to vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Azure AI Search)

• Knowledge of Responsible AI, data privacy, and model governance

• Experience deploying models using Docker/Kubernetes is a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $150,000 - $180,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period., As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.
