Senior Software Engineer -Observability, Managed Inputs

In this role you’ll help build scalable backend ingestion for observability data within Elastic’s Streams program. You’ll own end-to-end features for Managed Inputs and Integrations, ensuring reliability and performance across cloud providers. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain system health, and mentor peers. The work fuels Kibana experiences by delivering robust data pipelines and scalable processing at scale.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, deploy and maintain high-performing, scalable features for Managed Inputs (mOTLP) and Managed Integrations
• Own projects from concept to delivery with cross-team collaboration
• Provide engineering support for escalated customer cases on a rotation
• Mentor peers via PR reviews to uphold code quality and best practices
• Monitor alerts, define SLIs/SLOs, and ensure system stability
• Foster a positive, inclusive, collaborative team culture across timezones
• Participate in on-call rotations for owned services

• Kubernetes experience
• IaC with Terraform
• Kafka experience
• Experience with Observability (tracing, metrics, logs, profiling)
• Knowledge of microservice architecture and distributed systems
• Ability to work independently in a distributed team
• Interest in OpenTelemetry
• Experience with or openness to AI-assisted development tools
