Technical solution architect - modelling & simulation

You are the primary technical interface between customers, business development, product management, and engineering. You take a customer’s mission objectives and pain points and turn them into solution concepts and CONOPS, and you carry those concepts through demonstrations, proposals, and deployment planning. After a win you stay involved: you build the enhancement of DomeinSIM together with the software developers and M&S engineers, or you hand the build to the System Architect and move on to the next opportunity.

The role combines customer engagement with broad technical depth, spanning cloud architecture, AI, digital engineering, situational awareness, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps, to deliver mission-focused solutions for our defence and security customers., * Serve as primary technical representative in customer meetings and demonstrations; understand mission objectives and pain points; translate challenges into solution concepts and CONOPS built on our platforms

• Define end-to-end and deployment architectures across cloud, on-premise, hybrid, and disconnected environments; recommend approaches that balance capability, cost, schedule, and risk
• Partner with business development and leadership to shape opportunities; support capture and proposal development, including technical volumes, white papers, and statements of work; present to stakeholders; support pilots and strategic partnerships
• Ensure customer requirements inform product roadmaps; work with the System Architect and engineering to communicate use cases and align solutions with product capabilities
• Define high-level integration and deployment concepts; identify technical dependencies and risks; support the transition to detailed design and customer deployment
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, digital engineering, digital twins, and analytics; contribute to product and technology roadmaps and investment recommendations, A role at the hinge between customer and engineering, in an organisation small enough that the solutions you shape are the ones that get built. Direct exposure to defence and security customers on missions that matter. You will be trained on our existing solutions, and when you take on new ones an experienced advisor works alongside you until you can carry them on your own.

• HBO or WO degree in computer science, systems engineering, software engineering, or a comparable discipline
• 8+ years developing technical solutions for complex or mission-critical systems
• Demonstrated customer engagement, solution development, and technical leadership experience
• Experience designing cloud-native and hybrid solutions
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering and software development methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken
• Willing and able to undergo security screening by the Dutch security services, * Experience on MoD, NATO, or European government programmes
• Digital engineering, MBSE, and digital twin experience
• AI/ML and situational awareness systems experience
• AWS or Azure cloud platform experience
• Cybersecurity architecture and Zero Trust experience
• Business development, capture, and proposal experience
