Data Analyst 6-Month Temp with a view to Permanent Northern Ireland £45,000-£50,000Our client is a well-established local business with a global customer base and a strong people-first culture. They’re investing heavily in sustainability and data, and they’re looking for a Data Analyst to help drive that forward.This is an initial 6-month temporary role with a clear pathway to a permanent position. It’s a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, prove your impact and grow with the team long term.What you’ll doDesign and build analytical data models (fact and dimension tables) in Snowflake that the business can rely onDevelop and optimise pipelines and transformations that bring data from operational systems into the analytics environmentBuild Power BI dashboards that make sustainability performance clear to non-technical colleaguesCreate lightweight analytical tools, such as Streamlit apps, for scenario analysis and deeper explorationOwn data quality, documentation and

Requirements

traceability across your data productsWork within the Data Team’s DevOps rhythm, including sprint planning, backlog refinement and solution designSupport colleagues across Compliance, Finance and Procurement with their data needsWhat you’ll bringExperience in analytics engineering, data analysis or a similar role that bridges engineering and analyticsStrong SQL and hands-on experience with data modelling and pipeline developmentA track record of delivering Power BI reporting for non-technical usersThe ability to turn business questions into well-defined metrics, and to explain data clearly to anyoneExperience balancing project delivery with business-as-usual reportingA genuine passion for sustainability challenges like climate change, waste and modern slaveryNice to haveExperience with Streamlit or similar app-building tools, or with reverse-ETLExposure to ESG or regulatory reporting dataA degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experienceWhy apply?A route to permanent: start on a 6-month contract with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent roleReal impact: your work will directly shape how an international business measures and reduces its environmental impactBuild something new: help shape a growing sustainability data capability from close to the ground upGreat environment: a supportive, people-first culture with the backing of an established data teamApplications are welcome from all backgrounds.
