Lead Java Full Stack Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Cloud Engineer with strong experience designing, developing, and leading enterprise-scale full-stack applications. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, RESTful services, microservices, AWS, PostgreSQL, OpenShift, Docker, CI/CD, and modern software development practices., * Provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications.

• Design and develop scalable, high-throughput, low-latency applications using Java and Java/JEE technologies.
• Develop backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and service-oriented application components.
• Develop modern web applications using Angular, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, and jQuery.
• Develop responsive single-page applications and ensure compatibility with enterprise web standards.
• Design and implement application architectures supporting scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Develop applications using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and JSR 352.
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations using XML, JSON, JAX-WS, AXIS, Jersey, CXF, and related technologies.
• Implement secure APIs and application integrations using OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Work with AWS, PostgreSQL, Red Hat OpenShift, and Docker-based environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
• Work with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Nexus, Maven, SonarQube, Fortify, and UrbanCode Deploy.
• Develop and maintain batch-processing solutions using Spring Batch and JSR 352.
• Support enterprise batch scheduling and processing using Control-M.
• Design and optimize database interactions using PostgreSQL, DB2, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Work with application servers and enterprise technologies including Tomcat and WebSphere.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and PowerMock.
• Apply Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development practices where appropriate.
• Develop automated acceptance tests using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Troubleshoot application performance, scalability, integration, and production issues.
• Identify and remediate application security vulnerabilities.
• Perform application and database performance tuning.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and system design documentation.
• Use Visio, Confluence, UML, and applicable IT governance standards for technical documentation.
• Conduct code reviews and establish development standards and best practices.
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance across the development team.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, testers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Support production deployments, release activities, and application maintenance.
• Ensure applications comply with applicable accessibility requirements, including Section 508.

• 10+ years of professional experience with Java-based enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/JEE and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with Angular and React.
• Experience serving as a Technical Lead or technical lead-level developer.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience developing high-throughput and low-latency enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, and jQuery.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based application development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database technologies.
• Experience with Docker and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and enterprise development pipelines.
• Experience with Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, Maven, Jira, Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, and/or UrbanCode Deploy.
• Experience with Spring Batch and enterprise batch processing.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and JWT.
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, security, performance, and scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams.
• Experience with AI technologies and modern application development practices.
• Strong understanding of Section 508 and accessible application development.
• Experience developing technical white papers, system design documents, and architecture documentation.
• Experience supporting federal or state government IT environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Pega, and/or Microsoft Power Platform.
