Principal IT Consultant & Solutions Architect

Muthuma Tech Consulting is seeking an experienced and strategic Principal IT Consultant & Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions for our clients. This role combines technical leadership, enterprise architecture expertise, and client-facing consulting responsibilities.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to architect scalable solutions, guide technology strategy, and ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Provide strategic IT consulting and technology advisory services to clients.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop architecture roadmaps, technical standards, and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful projects.
• Lead technical workshops, stakeholder meetings, and solution presentations.
• Oversee system integrations, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure security, scalability, reliability, and performance requirements are met.
• Mentor consultants, architects, and engineering teams.

Do you have experience in Leadership?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in IT consulting, solutions architecture, or enterprise architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with enterprise systems integration and modernization projects.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and IT governance frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and consulting engagements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities., * Master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, PMP, or equivalent.
• Experience with DevOps, microservices architecture, and modern application development practices.
• Experience working in consulting environments and managing client relationships.
