EMC Data Administrator

The SharePoint platforms are an essential part of the EMC relationship with our customers, it provides the clients with live data of their building & connection information, EMC services & issues across their estate.

The E.ON Optimum software platforms are an essential and key part of the EON Controls Solutions business, the Energy Management Centre and our digital services, ingesting live business customer site data, providing key insights into building operations, their energy efficiency and autonomously steering assets based on various conditions and scenarios.

The general administration and support of the platforms, our customer sites and their associated data points would be your main responsibility, to ensure that each site is correctly configured, documented, and onboarded to the platform, and maintained day to day.

Main duties & Responsibilities

· General administration and day-to-day management of the Optimum Support Inbox, ensuring requests are managed within agreed SLA timeframes

· User management across Optimum Platforms and SharePoint Customer Portals, including access, permissions, onboarding and offboarding

· Providing day-to-day support to internal and external stakeholders on general Optimum platform queries, issues and data requests

· Managing feature requests, bugs and support issues through JIRA, ensuring requests are tracked, progressed and communicated to relevant stakeholders

· Liaising with the Optimum Development Team to monitor outstanding issues, system developments and agreed actions

· Attending regular support calls and sprint reviews, documenting key updates, actions and system developments for wider distribution

· Carrying out regular data quality checks across Optimum Platforms to ensure data points are correctly configured, linked and receiving data

· Monitoring data collector connectivity and data ingestion, identifying discrepancies and liaising with relevant stakeholders and energy providers to resolve issues

· Carrying out manual extraction and uploading of customer data into Optimum Commercial where automated data collection is unavailable

· Managing and maintaining tagging structures across Optimum Platforms to ensure buildings, meters and data points are accurately categorised and maintained

· Carrying out regular system reconciliations and data comparisons between Optimum, EMCore and customer systems to ensure data integrity and alignment

· Managing and maintaining customer, site, organisational and connection records across relevant systems

· Coordinating the scheduling, production and distribution of regular and ad-hoc reporting to key stakeholders

· Maintaining accurate records and documentation of system updates, data issues, processes and actions

· Managing SharePoint user groups, customer portal users, new connection requests and deletion requests in line with established processes

· Coordinating Power BI licensing and access requirements to ensure stakeholders have appropriate access to portal reporting

The following skills and aptitudes are essential to this role:

· Strong PC skills

· Strong Microsoft Office Skills (in particular excellent Excel skills)

· Able to communicate fluently both orally & in writing

· Eager to learn, dynamic, motivated, flexible & service-minded a team player who is capable of working independently or as part of a team

· Self-motivated & Self-disciplined

· Excellent interpersonal skills, willingness to co-operate & work effectively as a member of a team & interact with other departments

· Willingness to be flexible & get involved in all areas

The following skills, aptitudes, experience and knowledge are desirable for this role, but not essential as full training will be provided:

· Previous experience of software platform / data administration / data entry

· Building Management Systems awareness/knowledge: Siemens, Trend, Tridium

· Understanding and working knowledge of BMS control systems

· Understanding and working knowledge of HVAC & Lighting systems

· IT Networking experience

· SharePoint awareness, * Administrative: 3 years (preferred)
