Duties and responsibilities will typically include working as part of a team to:

  • Conduct mixed-methods analysis and evaluation activities to support REF 2029 Strategy, People, and Research Environment development and wider institutional priorities
  • Develop dashboards, indicators, visualisations and reporting tools to support strategic planning and evidence-informed decision-making
  • Support the development of consistent SPRE indicators and evaluation frameworks aligned to Strategy 2030, REF and institutional KPIs
  • Contribute to communities of practice, institutional reporting and continuous improvement initiatives relating to data, evaluation and research culture

Requirements

  • Significant experience in data analysis, evaluation, and insight generation within large, complex organisations, preferably in the Higher Education sector
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience interpreting and communicating complex datasets
  • High-level ability to synthesise qualitative and quantitative data and develop visual dashboards or performance reports
  • Experience designing dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to adapt messaging for senior and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outputs to deadlines
