Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of education strategy, supporting major initiatives including the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), student surveys and impact evaluation.

You’ll analyse and interpret education and student experience data, produce clear and compelling insight for a range of audiences, and support evaluation projects that inform decision-making across the university. Working with colleagues from across UCL, you’ll help ensure our evidence is robust, accessible and used to drive positive change.

Alongside your analytical work, you’ll coordinate projects, manage timelines and documentation, and build strong partnerships with teams across the institution.

Requirements

You’ll enjoy solving problems with data and translating analysis into practical insight. You combine strong analytical skills with excellent communication and can work confidently with colleagues across a large, complex organisation.

You’ll bring:

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience analysing and interpreting complex datasets and presenting findings in a clear, engaging way.
  • Knowledge of student experience, education or survey data, ideally within higher education.
  • An understanding of evaluation approaches and evidence-based improvement.
  • Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences.
  • An understanding of data quality, governance and good analytical practice.
  • Experience using Excel and, ideally, familiarity with tools such as SQL, Alteryx or Python.
