Data Cabling Data Centers Wireless Access Point

Job description

Integra South is looking for additional Data Cabling Engineers to join our growing team, working across London and the South East.

We currently have a strong pipeline of work across commercial, education and corporate environments and are looking to expand our engineering team.

We are interested in hearing from both experienced Lead Engineers and developing/junior Data Engineers.

For senior applicants, we’re looking for people who can take ownership of works on site, work from drawings, organise a small team and deliver installations to a high standard without constant supervision.

For less experienced applicants, we’re looking for people with the right attitude who want to develop their skills and progress within the industry. Training and experience can be built over time. Reliability, work ethic and willingness to learn are essential.

Typical Works

Our projects include:

  • Cat6 / Cat6A structured cabling
  • Fibre optic cabling
  • Data cabinet installation, dressing and patching
  • Fluke testing and certification
  • Wireless Access Point installations
  • Cable containment
  • PA / speaker system infrastructure
  • Working at height
  • Commercial office installations
  • Education and school environments
  • Data centre / communications room works

Lead / Senior Engineers

Ideally you will have experience in several of the following:

  • Cat6 / Cat6A installation and termination
  • Fluke DSX testing and fault finding
  • Reading drawings and cable schedules
  • Cabinet installation and dressing
  • Fibre installation and/or termination
  • Containment installation
  • Leading small teams of engineers
  • Managing your own workload on site
  • Liaising professionally with clients and site management
  • Completing QA and project documentation

We’re particularly interested in engineers who are comfortable being given a scope of works and taking responsibility for delivering it.

Junior / Developing Engineers

You don’t need to know everything.

We’re interested in engineers who already have some cabling/site experience and want to develop into experienced Data Engineers.

Requirements

  • Reliable
  • Hard working
  • Willing to learn
  • Comfortable working as part of a team
  • Able to follow instructions and work to a good standard
  • Interested in developing a long-term career within the industry

There will be opportunities to gain experience across structured cabling, testing, fibre, containment and larger project installations.

Requirements

Depending on experience and role:

  • Valid ECS / CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • IPAF desirable
  • Enhanced DBS desirable or willingness to obtain one
  • Own basic hand tools
  • Good standard of workmanship
  • Professional attitude when working on client sites, * Whether you can terminate and test Cat6/Cat6A independently
  • Your experience with Fluke testers
  • Any fibre experience
  • Whether you’ve previously led engineers on site
  • Your current ECS/CSCS, IPAF and DBS status

Benefits & conditions

£130 - £250 per day depending on experience and capability.

Rates will reflect what you can actually do rather than simply the number of years you’ve worked within the industry.

Long-term and ongoing opportunities are available for the right people.
