Job description
We are seeking experienced Systems Integration & Test Engineers (I&T) to support system integration, qualification, and testing activities for advanced aerospace and defense systems in Orlando, FL.
The Systems Integration & Test Engineer will work onsite in a laboratory environment and support subsystem and system-level integration and testing for new and existing products. This position will be responsible for developing and executing test plans and procedures, preparing test equipment and facilities, analyzing test results, supporting failure investigations, and helping drive solutions to hardware, software, and test equipment issues.
The ideal candidate will have experience with systems integration, test planning, test execution, laboratory operations, test analysis, and test documentation within an aerospace, defense, engineering, or other highly technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute subsystem and system-level integration and test plans and procedures
- Support system integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities
- Prepare and configure test equipment, fixtures, facilities, and laboratory environments for test events
- Support Design Verification Testing (DVT) and qualification testing
- Support Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and environmental qualification testing
- Support Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) testing
- Execute Functional Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) for new hardware
- Analyze test results and identify anomalies, failures, and performance issues
- Support failure investigations involving hardware, software, and test equipment
- Troubleshoot and assist with resolution of system and subsystem test anomalies
- Provide engineering evaluations and recommendations related to redesigns, upgrades, and product improvements
- Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, test reports, and other technical documentation
- Lead laboratory operations and ensure compliance with safety, quality, organization, and 6S standards
- Support regular laboratory audits and inspections
- Work closely with Engineering Operations and other cross-functional engineering teams
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to meet testing objectives
- Communicate test status, findings, issues, and recommendations to technical stakeholders
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative engineering team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 1+ year of Systems Integration and/or Test (I&T) experience
- 2+ years of experience with test planning, test execution, laboratory operations, and test analysis
- 2+ years of experience developing technical test documentation, including:
- Test plans
- Test procedures
- Test reports
- Test results/documentation
- Experience working with hardware, software, test equipment, or integrated systems
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance required at start
- U.S. Person/U.S. Citizen verification required
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate and reliable test results, * Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of Integration & Test (I&T) experience
- Experience with hardware integration, particularly sensor integration
- Aerospace or defense industry experience
- Experience with missile, weapons, avionics, guidance, navigation, or sensor systems
- Experience designing or developing test fixtures
- Experience developing detailed test procedures
- Experience with Design Verification Testing (DVT)
- Experience with environmental qualification testing
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing
- Experience analyzing complex test data and making engineering recommendations
- Experience troubleshooting integrated hardware/software systems
- Experience working in laboratory or engineering test environments
- Familiarity with 6S, laboratory safety, quality systems, and engineering compliance processes

- $58.80/hour
- Contract assignment of approximately 12 months

Work Environment
This is a full-time onsite engineering laboratory position supporting system-level integration, verification, qualification, and testing. The engineer will work with multidisciplinary teams and have direct involvement in test preparation, execution, troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation.
Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour
