Job description

  • Provide first-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and user-access issues.
  • Set up and maintain computers, laptops, peripherals and user accounts.
  • Support the day-to-day use of business software and systems.
  • Liaise with external IT providers and software suppliers when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes.
  • Research and implement practical AI tools and automation solutions.
  • Help colleagues adopt AI safely and effectively.
  • Assist with software upgrades, testing and new system implementations.
  • Support IT security, documentation and good technology practices.
  • Work with teams across the business to understand their needs and deliver practical solutions.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering or a related subject.
  • A genuine interest in IT, artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
  • Good general IT and software knowledge.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  • Good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • The ability to work independently and support colleagues confidently.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of AI tools, generative AI or automation platforms.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript or another programming language.
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, Power BI or business software.
  • An understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
