Job description
- lead the design, development and governance of Business Intelligence solutions across Children and Young People’s Services, specifically in relation to SEND Reforms, using tools such as Power BI, SQL and SSRS
- drive a self-service performance and reporting culture by improving access to data, insight and decision-making tools across the directorate
- work closely with IT, transformation teams and partner organisations to develop reporting infrastructure, data-sharing solutions and innovative intelligence products
- transform complex data into meaningful intelligence that supports service improvement, strategic planning and better outcomes for children, young people and families
- lead the development of technical capability within the CYP Intelligence Hub through coaching, training and creating a culture of continuous learning., Step 3 - Upload a supporting statement answering the following questions below (no more than 400 words per question). - Please describe a significant piece of analytical work you have led using tools such as Power BI, SQL or SSRS. How did you transform complex data into meaningful intelligence, and what impact did this have on service delivery or strategic decision-making?
- Give an example of a Business Intelligence solution or reporting framework you have designed and implemented. What was your role, what challenges did you face, and how did you ensure the solution met organisational and user needs?
- Describe a time when you worked collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, services or partner organisations to improve data quality, reporting, information sharing or performance management. What was your approach and what outcome was achieved?
- What experience do you have working with Children and Young People’s data and information governance requirements? How have you ensured data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality and compliance when delivering analytical products?
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics and performance reporting, with expert knowledge of Power BI, SQL and SSRS.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making and service improvement.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing, coaching and motivating high-performing teams.
- Experience of designing and delivering technical training and building capability within teams to support continuous learning and innovation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across services, partner organisations and senior leadership groups.
- Experience working with children and young people’s data, information governance requirements, and complex performance and intelligence frameworks.
