Job description
As a Senior Okta Consultant, you will be a trusted advisor to our clients, leading the end-to-end delivery of Okta Identity Cloud projects. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable IAM architectures, integrate Okta with enterprise applications, and ensure seamless adoption of Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Lifecycle Management, Workflows, ISPM, AI Agents, and Zero Trust frameworks. Your expertise will drive security, compliance, and user experience improvements for global organizations., Technical Architecture, Delivery & Implementation
- Lead the design, architecture, configuration, and deployment of Okta solutions (Okta Workforce Identity, Okta Customer Identity, Okta Identity Governance, etc.).
- Implement SSO, MFA, adaptive authentication, and role-based access control (RBAC) for enterprise applications (SaaS, on-prem, custom apps).
- Integrate Okta with Active Directory (AD), LDAP, HRIS systems (Workday, BambooHR), and API-driven provisioning.
- Automate identity lifecycle workflows using Okta Workflows, SCIM, and Okta API.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM issues (e.g., authentication failures, policy conflicts, performance bottlenecks).
Advisory & Strategy
- Advise clients on Okta best practices, including Zero Trust architecture and passwordless authentication.
- Assess client IAM maturity and recommend scalable, future-proof solutions.
- Develop migration strategies from legacy IAM systems (e.g., AD FS, Ping, Microsoft Entra ID - formerly Azure AD) to Okta.
- Create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and user guides.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor junior consultants and client teams on Okta administration and governance.
- Work closely with security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure seamless integrations.
- Stay ahead of Okta’s latest features and industry trends.
- Participate in pre-sales activities (e.g., RFP responses, demos, proof of concepts).
Requirements
- Okta Certification: Okta Certified Consultant (OCC) or Okta Certified Administrator (OCA) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience implementing and managing Okta Identity Cloud in enterprise environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in Okta SSO, Universal Directory, MFA (including Okta Verify, SMS, Email, FIDO2), and adaptive policies.
- Experience with SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SCIM protocols.
- Proficiency in directory integrations (AD, LDAP, Microsoft Entra ID) and HRIS systems (Workday, SuccessFactors).
- Familiarity with APIs, scripting (PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript), and automation tools (Okta Workflows, Terraform).
- Knowledge of security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
- Soft Skills:
- Fluent, native-level English & excellent verbal communication
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to present technical concepts.
- Client-facing experience with a focus on consultative style and relationship management., * Advanced Okta Certifications: Okta Certified Developer (OCD), Okta Workflows certification, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in migration projects (e.g., from AD FS, SiteMinder, or custom IAM solutions to Okta).
- French language skills are not required (but a plus for collaboration with local teams).
