Job description
This is a varied and hands-on role responsible for the management, maintenance and control of company equipment and supplies. Working from our Birmingham Head Office, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment is available, maintained and accurately tracked to support operational requirements across the business.
The role combines equipment repair and maintenance with asset management responsibilities, including inventory control, equipment allocation, stock management, and supporting investigations into missing or unaccounted-for equipment., * Maintain accurate records of company equipment and assets using internal systems and databases
- Coordinate the allocation, recovery and redeployment of equipment across the UK and Ireland
- Diagnose, repair, test and maintain company hardware and operational equipment
- Conduct regular asset audits and inventory checks to ensure accuracy of equipment records
- Manage equipment storage locations and maintain organised and secure stock areas
- Monitor stock levels of equipment, components, consumables and supplies
- Support investigations into missing, damaged or unreturned equipment
- Produce reports relating to inventory accuracy, equipment availability and asset utilisation
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment control processes and asset management practices
- Provide support to operational teams regarding equipment-related queries
Requirements
- Experience in equipment, inventory, asset management or stock control environments
- Experience diagnosing and repairing hardware, electronic or technical equipment
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Ability to investigate issues, identify discrepancies and follow processes through to resolution
- Confident managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently while building effective working relationships across the business
Desirable
- Experience using asset management or inventory control systems
- Basic SQL or database knowledge
- Experience with soldering and component-level repairs
- First-line IT support experience
- Experience in a multi-site operational environment
