Senior Product Engineer- ERP Integrations

A fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company is seeking a senior, hands-on Product Engineer to own and scale its ERP integration platform.

The core challenge is building a single, reusable integration platform that connects to hundreds or thousands of independent customers’ ERP accounts, beginning with NetSuite.

Each customer has its own ERP environment, credentials, configuration, data and accounting workflows. You’ll design the infrastructure that manages these connections reliably at scale, rather than building separate integrations for individual customers or connecting multiple tenants to one shared ERP account.

This is a high-ownership individual contributor position for an experienced Python backend or platform engineer with deep, hands-on NetSuite integration experience.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build and own a reusable ERP connector platform that supports many independent customer accounts.
• Develop deep NetSuite integrations using relevant APIs, including SuiteTalk REST/SOAP, RESTlets and SuiteScript.
• Architect secure, customer-specific authentication, connection management, configuration and data isolation.
• Build resilient bidirectional synchronization engines with conflict resolution, idempotency, duplicate prevention, retry strategies and data consistency.
• Handle customer-specific schema differences, custom fields, API limitations and evolving integration requirements.
• Develop asynchronous and event-driven processing infrastructure for high-volume data exchange.
• Establish monitoring, observability, error recovery and reliability standards across customer integrations.
• Extend the platform to additional accounting and ERP systems.
• Collaborate directly with customers and engineering leadership to translate complex accounting workflows into reusable product capabilities.
• Own architectural decisions and remain actively involved in hands-on development, deployment and production operations.

• Extensive professional Python backend engineering experience building production services and APIs.
• Deep hands-on experience developing and maintaining NetSuite integrations.
• Experience building reusable integration infrastructure that supports multiple independent customers’ external accounts, ideally within a SaaS product.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing and scalable API design.
• Experience with bidirectional synchronization, idempotency, retries, conflict resolution, data consistency and schema evolution.
• Experience designing secure, customer-specific authentication and authorization.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of a significant product or platform component, from architecture through production.
• Ability to communicate complex technical decisions clearly, collaborate across engineering teams and engage constructively with technical feedback.

Preferred Experience

Experience with additional platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Ramp, Gusto or Dext is valuable.

Backgrounds in fintech, accounting software, ERP middleware, API infrastructure or universal connector platforms are particularly relevant.

Ideal Candidate

You are a backend or platform engineer first, with substantial ERP integration expertise.

You’ve built production infrastructure that allows many independent customers to connect their own external accounts to one product. You understand the challenges of supporting different customer configurations, authentication credentials, API limitations and data synchronization requirements within a shared connector architecture.

You enjoy hands-on engineering, substantial technical ownership and close collaboration with customers. You can explain architectural trade-offs clearly, listen to alternative approaches and work constructively through complex technical decisions.

This position is fully remote and open to candidates based in the United States or United Kingdom. Compensation is $200,000-$275,000 USD, plus equity and benefits.

The interview process includes an initial recruiter conversation, a technical interview with engineering leadership and a final leadership discussion. The anticipated process is approximately two weeks for qualified candidates.

Pay: £165,968.00-£190,000.00 per year
