Technical Application Analyst

• Provide L2/L3 functional and technical support for assigned enterprise applications and integrations
• Triage incidents, requests, and recurring issues while identifying root causes and coordinating resolution
• Troubleshoot integrations, data exchanges, error queues, workflows, scheduled jobs, logs, and cross-system issues
• Use SQL, scripts, APIs, file inspection, and related methods to investigate problems and validate data
• Build or recommend lightweight automation for monitoring, reconciliation, analysis, documentation, and support activities
• Use Cursor, ChatGPT, and similar AI tools to accelerate research, testing, documentation, query development, and troubleshooting
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into functional, configuration, integration, and reporting specifications
• Support implementations, enhancements, releases, cutovers, testing, and post-go-live hypercare
• Create test strategies, test cases, test data, defect logs, and user acceptance materials
• Coordinate vendor cases and validate fixes in test and production environments
• Develop SOPs, support runbooks, troubleshooting guides, process maps, integration records, and knowledge-transfer materials
• Lead cross-training and knowledge-transfer sessions for internal teams
• Communicate status, risks, technical findings, and recommendations to business partners, technical teams, and vendors, Insight Global is seeking a Technical Application Analyst for a top enterprise energy client. This consultant will provide hands-on production support, technical analysis, automation, and project-delivery assistance across a diverse portfolio of business applications. The ideal candidate is a technically strong problem solver who can investigate integrations, logs, workflows, and data issues; develop practical automations; support testing and releases; and create durable documentation for internal teams. This role offers the opportunity to work with enterprise platforms such as Workday, Execute AFE, Harvey AI, Legal Tracker, and Concur while using modern AI-assisted tools to improve analysis, troubleshooting, testing, and knowledge transfer

• 2+ years of experience in application support, business systems analysis, systems analysis, or a related discipline
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS, ERP, HR, legal, or similarly complex business applications
• Experience with production support, requirements analysis, testing, release coordination, and vendor management
• Strong knowledge of integrations, APIs or file-based interfaces, scheduled jobs, logs, data mapping, validation, and cross-system troubleshooting
• Technical proficiency with SQL, scripting, automation, or comparable tools
• Ability to troubleshoot application behavior, integration failures, workflow issues, and data discrepancies
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Excel skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create clear technical and business documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across support and project work
• Ability to use Cursor, ChatGPT, or comparable AI tools productively, securely, and responsibly

Plusses:

• Experience with Workday, Workday Extend, Execute AFE, Harvey AI, Legal Tracker, Concur, Ariba/CLM, DocuSign, Enverus applications, or SAP materials and fleet processes
• Hands-on experience with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON/XML, reporting, dashboards, integration monitoring, or data reconciliation
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or other generative AI technologies in a professional environment
• Experience with IT service management, ticketing platforms, change control, and incident/problem management
• Experience in energy, industrial, financial, or another complex enterprise environment
• Experience creating support models, knowledge bases, application inventories, or transition plans

$45/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
