Who You Will Work With

Our client is a global financial services firm that manages wealth, navigates complex markets, and designs strategic financial objectives. The firm provides risk management solutions across a variety of sectors, emphasizing long-term relationships, and innovative approaches to financial challenges. What You’ll Do: Join our Middle Office TC & Vista Infrastructure team as a Software Engineer within the TEDRA Department. Collaborate with a global squad to enhance and maintain large-scale distributed multi-application enrichment and allocation systems.

• Drive major renovation projects, upgrading applications to the latest tech stack (Java 21, Spring Boot 3.3+, Gradle, MongoDB, Kafka) to improve reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Streamline processes by identifying synergies across systems, reducing redundancy, and optimising maintenance.
• Design, develop, and test strategic initiatives to meet evolving business and regulatory needs.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues involving inter-process communication, threading, memory management, data enrichment logic, messaging systems, databases, and caching.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback across teams and related systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software adhering to best practices, security standards, and design patterns while ensuring performance, uptime, and scalability.

What You Bring:

• Proficiency in Java (Spring/Gradle), databases (DB2/Sybase/MongoDB/SQL), messaging systems (Kafka/IBM MQ), Linux/Unix Shell scripting, Python, DevOps & CI/CD practices, containerisation (Kubernetes).

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in modernising large-scale system re-engineering projects.
• Financial domain knowledge and strong communication skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working within a large global team.
