Senior DevOps Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment.
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing AWS and Azure technologies.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Partner with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release processes and improve deployment reliability.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot application deployments and cloud environments to ensure performance, scalability, and availability.
• Drive automation initiatives that improve system reliability, efficiency, and time-to-market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement DevOps best practices.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in New York, NY. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on project and business requirements.

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Experience working collaboratively across development, QA, and operations teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing security best practices across CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
• AWS and/or Azure certifications.

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 - $115,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate., Cognizant offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:
