Job description
Working across Children’s Services, you will support approximately 400 users, helping staff to use Liquid Logic effectively and ensuring that system and data issues are resolved promptly.
You will:
- Provide high-level support and advice to users of Liquid Logic Children’s System (LCS) and Early Help Module (EHM).
- Investigate and resolve system anomalies and escalate technical issues appropriately.
- Work closely with Digital Services and technical teams to ensure issues are followed up and resolved.
- Provide advice and support to Children’s Services staff on system processes and recording requirements.
- Coach and train users to improve confidence and knowledge of Liquid Logic.
- Create and maintain clear How-To Guides, process documentation and user guidance.
- Support accurate data management, reporting and performance monitoring.
- Assist with system testing, development and enhancements.
- Gather feedback from users and identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Attend and support the coordination of Liquid Logic user groups.
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of system developments and functionality.
- Build effective working relationships with Children’s Services colleagues, Digital Services and external partners.
- Provide evidence and reporting of support delivered to users.
- Organise and prioritise your own workload while meeting deadlines and service standards.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and reduce non-value-adding activity.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Work in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, legislation and safeguarding requirements.
Requirements
- Thorough and demonstrable knowledge and experience of using LCS and EHM.
- A detailed understanding of Local Authority Children’s Services workflows, including:
- Early Help
- Children in Need
- Child Protection
- Children Looked After
- Fostering
- Strong communication skills with experience of coaching, training and supporting users.
- Strong IT and technical skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Teams and Excel.
- Experience of delivering a high-quality customer-focused support service.
- The ability to investigate problems, identify solutions and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills., * Experience handling sensitive personal and safeguarding information securely.
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority or similar public-sector environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and young people.
- Experience implementing change, process improvements or efficiency initiatives.
- Previous experience in a business support, Children’s Services or Adults’ Services environment.
- Experience interpreting and analysing datasets.
- Experience supporting or improving case management systems., * Problem Solving - investigating issues, identifying solutions and generating ideas for improvement.
- Influencing & Communication - providing excellent customer support, building relationships and communicating information clearly.
- Adaptability - supporting change and providing effective guidance to users.
- Delivering Results - taking ownership and ensuring tasks and issues are followed through to completion.
- Collaboration - working effectively with Children’s Services, Digital Services and other stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement - identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and user experience., We are looking for someone who is technically confident, approachable and solutions-focused. You should be comfortable working with staff at different levels, explaining technical processes clearly and supporting colleagues who may have varying levels of system knowledge.
You will need to demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and the ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships across the service.
Experience within Children’s Social Care and a strong understanding of how case management systems support statutory children’s services will be particularly important.
Benefits & conditions
- £20.38 per hour PAYE
- 36 hours per week
- Working hours of 9:00am-5:00pm

Enhanced DBS with Adults & Children’s Barred List is required for this position.
