Job description

Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality across various platforms including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Automate testing processes using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and related frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage.
Perform functional, system, regression, performance (using LoadRunner), load testing, and user acceptance testing to identify issues early in the development lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Conduct root cause analysis on defects or performance bottlenecks using debugging skills and technical troubleshooting techniques.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions to understand project scope and translate business needs into effective test strategies.
Support release management activities by ensuring all software releases meet quality standards before deployment.

Requirements

Proven experience in software testing including functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing with tools such as LoadRunner or JMeter.
Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python or JavaScript for scripting automation tests.
Familiarity with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile (Scrum), Waterfall methodologies, and best practices for QA processes.
Proficiency in working with APIs (REST/SOAP), web services, SQL/PLSQL databases (MySQL, Oracle), and version control systems like GitHub or GitLab.
Ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging to troubleshoot complex issues across various operating systems including Windows and Linux.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills combined with strong attention to detail for creating effective test cases and analyzing data outcomes.
Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting testing procedures clearly.
