Senior PHP Developer (MVC, Laravel)

• Designing, building and extending our RESTful APIs and back office systems
• Integrating with third-party APIs
• Dealing with day to day bugs and feature requests raised by our users
• Investigating and resolving issues on our existing systems, The successful Senior PHP Developer will play a key role in supporting our growth journey as we work towards our mission of becoming the UK’s leading renewables installer.

• Minimum 5 years commercial experience
• PHP 8
• MySQL/Maria DB
• Laravel 12+ or similar MVC frameworks
• Version Control (Git)
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript / jQuery

Additional Desirable Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable examples of previous back-end project work
• DevOps experience, maintaining Linux servers (LEMP and LAMP Stacks)
• Experience in writing unit tests and/or functional tests
• Experience in AWS management including (but not limited to) EC2 Instances and Auto Scaling Groups, RDS, VPCs, SQS, Elasticsearch Service
• Experience in Vagrant and/or Docker
• Proficiency in AI and creation and management of agents to keep costs down
• Zurb Foundation 6 or similar front-end framework
