Job description

You’ll design, build, and maintain the edge-to-cloud data pipeline, including containerized services, APIs, databases, and integrations with industrial controllers. You’ll also work closely with Controls, HMI, Manufacturing, and Field Support teams and help mentor other engineers., * Build and maintain backend services and REST APIs

Develop edge-to-cloud data pipelines for IoT devices
Design database schemas, migrations, partitioning, and retention strategies
Build containerized services and deployment configurations
Integrate industrial controllers and equipment
Develop and test software on live production equipment
Contribute to system architecture and technical documentation
Work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams
Mentor junior engineers

Requirements

Strong C#/.NET experience
ASP.NET Core and REST API development
SQL and relational database engineering
Experience with containerization and Linux deployments
Git and CI/CD experience
Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions
Strong backend software engineering fundamentals

Desired Skills

Python
Industrial protocols such as MODBUS, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT
Azure or AWS/Google Cloud Platform
Kubernetes, K3s, or MicroK8s
IoT or embedded device software
Experience working with sensor or time-series data
Grafana or analytics platforms, * Seniority level is flexible for strong candidates
Industrial protocol, PLC/SCADA, and Python experience are preferred but not required
Must be comfortable working onsite in North Raleigh
