Job description

As a Software Engineer, you’ll help design, build and maintain the web applications that power our healthcare automation platform. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with Product, Engineering and Clinical teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions used by GP practices every day., * Develop and maintain customer-facing applications using Next.js, React and TypeScript.

  • Build responsive, accessible user interfaces that simplify complex healthcare workflows.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features from
  • concept to release.

Deliver Reliable Backend Services

  • Develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
  • Work with SQL databases and cloud services to support scalable application
  • architecture.
  • Contribute to system design discussions and technical decision-making.

Own Quality Throughout Development

  • Write automated tests to ensure reliability and maintainability.
  • Contribute to end-to-end testing using Playwright.
  • Participate in code reviews and help improve engineering standards across the team.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues with a focus on root-cause analysis.

Engineer for Scale

  • Deploy and maintain applications within Azure.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
  • Monitor application performance and reliability using modern observability tools.
  • Collaborate Across the Business
  • Work closely with clinicians, product managers and fellow engineers to understand user needs.
  • Contribute ideas that improve both the product and the development process.
  • Help foster a collaborative, pragmatic engineering culture.

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 3+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Strong experience with Next.js, React and TypeScript.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Experience working with relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
  • Familiarity with modern source control and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with C#/.NET development.
  • Experience with Playwright or other automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience working within Azure.
  • Experience in healthcare, NHS, or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools.
  • Experience working in a SaaS or scale-up environment.
