Job description
The Business Systems & ERP Manager is responsible for the ownership, administration, optimization, and support of the company’s ERP platform and connected business applications, with primary emphasis on manufacturing ERP processes, data, reporting, integrations, and continuous improvement. The role will ensure the ERP implementation delivers lasting operational value while providing clear internal ownership of business systems, data, security coordination, and outside technology partners. This role will also serve as the company’s primary liaison to its external IT managed-services provider. As the company grows, this role will help ensure technology enables growth.
The successful candidate will combine deep manufacturing ERP and business-process expertise with practical experience managing third-party technology providers. This person will translate operational and leadership needs into scalable system solutions that improve efficiency, data accuracy, system adoption, and decision-making.
Core Responsibilities
ERP Administration and Support
- Serve as the primary internal administrator and point of contact for the company’s ERP system.
- Support ERP development, data migration, testing, implementation, training, and ongoing optimization.
- Maintain users, roles, permissions, workflows, dashboards, reports, forms, and system documentation.
- Troubleshoot system, reporting, and issues; coordinate escalations with ERP vendors and consultants.
- Manage system upgrades, enhancements, testing, change control, and user-acceptance activities.
- Create training materials and provide ongoing user training and support.
Business Systems and Process Improvement
- Partner with departments to understand requirements, improve workflows, and translate business needs into practical system solutions.
- Establish standards for data integrity, access controls, and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, spreadsheets, and process inefficiencies.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators that provide accurate and timely information to leadership.
- Serve as coordinator for potential integrations and automation between systems.
Infrastructure and User Support
- Manage third-party IT service provider responsible for Tier 1 end-user support, including computers, printers, scanners, networks, Wi-Fi, telephones, security systems, and related technology.
- Coordinate network changes, hardware deployments, security improvements, system upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
- Support cybersecurity awareness, internal controls, auditing, and incident-response procedures.
- Coordinate backups, restoration testing, disaster recovery, and business-continuity planning.
- Ensure the company maintains appropriate control of administrative access, configurations, system documentation, and vendor relationships.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, management information systems, business systems, operations, supply chain, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Five or more years of experience in ERP administration, business systems, or related manufacturing systems roles.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing ERP processes, including item master data, bills of material (BOMs), routings, work orders, material requirements planning (MRP), purchasing, production scheduling, inventory, costing, and related financial processes.
- Three or more years of hands-on experience with Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI)/SyteLine, including administration, configuration, reporting, workflows, data, and user support.
- Experience with system configuration, reporting, data, workflow automation, and user administration.
- Experience with cybersecurity controls, disaster recovery, and business-continuity practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint devices, networks, cybersecurity, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience coordinating with an outsourced IT provider, software vendor, or implementation partner.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, project-management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear system and technology solutions.
- Strong communication skills and able to work effectively with employees and technical partners., * Experience implementing Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI)/SyteLine, including participation in a full implementation lifecycle.
- Experience with CRM platforms and ERP-to-CRM integrations.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with warehouse, shipping, barcode, or manufacturing execution systems.
- Experience supporting a growing, multi-location manufacturing or distribution business.
