Job description
- Infrastructure Administration: Configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless networks across multi-site environments.
- Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify bandwidth bottlenecks, and lead Tier 3 technical troubleshooting to resolve complex network outages promptly.
- Security & Access Control: Implement zero-trust security controls, configure VPNs, manage VLAN segmentation, and maintain firewalls in compliance with enterprise security policies.
- Cloud & Hybrid Integration: Partner with cloud engineering teams to optimize cloud network connectivity (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute) and SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Plan and execute firmware updates, hardware refreshes, disaster recovery tests, and network configuration backups to maintain high operational uptime.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Network Administrator, Network Engineer, or Systems Administrator managing enterprise networks.
- Advanced hands-on proficiency with Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto hardware, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and switching architectures.
- Deep technical understanding of TCP/IP, IPsec VPNs, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG).
- Scripting experience using Python, Ansible, or PowerShell for network automation and configuration management.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer visa sponsorship.
- Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT; CCNP Enterprise, JNCIP, or PCNSE certifications.
