SAP Finance Trainer x2

A specialist training vendor has been engaged to develop training content and e-learning materials. We are now seeking two SAP Finance Trainers to deliver that content on the ground, running classroom training sessions alongside SMEs, providing at-the-elbow support during sandbox practice, and floor-walking through go-live and hypercare. This is a hands-on delivery role. The trainers will be the visible, in-person face of finance training for the user community., Classroom and Virtual Training Delivery

• Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions to mixed audiences ranging from core transactional users (AP, GL, Fixed Assets and Cash Management teams) through to occasional users such as requisitioners, approvers and project managers.
• Run sessions co-delivered with finance SMEs, taking responsibility for system demonstrations and exercise facilitation while SMEs provide business context.
• Adapt delivery style and pace to the audience, providing technical depth for power users, confidence-building for occasional users and oversight-focused sessions for managers and approvers.
• Manage the practical aspects of delivery including room set-up, system access, sandbox readiness, training environment troubleshooting, attendance tracking and evaluation capture.
• Deliver multiple sessions per week during peak training periods.

On-Site Support and Floor-Walking

• Provide at-the-elbow support during sandbox practice and day-in-the-life simulations.
• Floor-walk across business locations during pilot, training and hypercare periods, supporting users as they apply training to live processes.
• Triage user questions in real time, resolving straightforward issues directly and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with finance teams and stakeholders through visible and regular engagement.
• Remain calm and constructive when supporting users through high-pressure go-live and month-end activities.

Working with the Training Vendor and Change Team

• Deliver training using content developed by the training vendor and identify any content gaps, errors or inconsistencies.
• Provide structured feedback on content effectiveness based on learner engagement and classroom observations.
• Support continuous improvement of training materials by sharing insights into user challenges and learning needs.
• Work alongside the Change and Communications team to coordinate scheduling, learner communications and digital adoption activities.

SME Co-Delivery

• Plan and rehearse co-delivered sessions with finance SMEs.
• Support SMEs in delivering engaging training while respecting their subject matter expertise.
• Manage session flow, timing and learner engagement.

Change Agent and Super User Support

• Deliver train-the-trainer sessions for Super Users across finance functional areas.
• Support Change Agents and Super Users with refresher sessions and guidance during hypercare.
• Help build sustainable internal capability beyond the life of the programme.

Tracking and Reporting

• Capture attendance, completion and evaluation data for all training delivered.
• Provide regular reporting covering delivery volumes, attendance rates, learner satisfaction and emerging themes.
• Identify and escalate risks, recurring issues and additional training requirements.

Key Deliverables

• UAT training delivered.
• Train-the-trainer programme delivered for Super Users.
• Classroom training delivered across all user groups.
• Floor-walking and hypercare support provided during go-live and early stabilisation.
• Refresher and remediation training delivered as required.
• Sustainable capability established within the Change Agent and Super User community to support ongoing business-as-usual operations.
