The Person We’re Looking For

We are looking for a genuinely experienced hands-on technician, rather than someone whose experience is primarily helpdesk or telephone support.

You should be comfortable receiving a PC, laptop or Mac with an unknown fault and systematically diagnosing the problem through to a solution.

You must also be confident attending customer premises independently. You will be representing Swiftech when visiting homes and businesses, so professionalism, reliability, good communication and a pleasant attitude are just as important as technical ability.

Because the position involves access to customer computers, data and premises, trustworthiness and discretion are essential. References will be checked as part of the recruitment process.

The ideal candidate will enjoy variety - from replacing a damaged laptop hinge or MacBook screen in the workshop, to building a custom PC, troubleshooting Windows problems, or attending a customer’s premises to resolve an IT issue.
