Senior Configuration Engineer

Long term accountability for the configuration management of all designs (product, test rig, and software) at client requirements.

Administer, maintain and develop change management processes as appropriate.

Provide administration and additional PLM implementation support to the business, including training and mentoring.

Reporting directly to the Engineering resource manager for function and delivery as the PLM SME.

Core Duties

• Ensure software configuration meets client internal, legislative and security requirements and aligns with current processes.
• Subject matter expert (SME) on configuration engineering and use of Teamcenter.
• Support the definition and creation of workflows and best practices within Teamcenter.
• Develop and maintain user guides and training material to support the use of Teamcenter.
• Hold regular training sessions with the engineering teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements and drive a continuous improvement culture.
• Monitor and manage licence usage and ensure licence compliance.
• Support cross-functional system integration with other software platforms e.g. SolidEdge, Ansys, SAP, MS Office., * Time and workload management - ensure delivery is on time and to plan.
• Ensure all delivery aspects are justified and communicated appropriately and to the right levels within the business.

• Strong understanding of configuration management principles, concepts, practices and standards.
• Experience of working with Teamcenter and/or other PLM systems in an administrative capacity.
• SAP awareness / user would be beneficial.
• Understanding of security classification and its impact on the functionality within PLM is beneficial.

• Develop trusted relationships which support delivery of business objectives.
• Experience working with Teamcenter or similar PLM / configuration system., Degree in engineering related subject.
