Job description
Location: Hybrid - Remote with at least 6 visits per month to our Manchester or Ellesmere Port Office as and when required. Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, flexible between 08:00 - 18:00, to be agreed with line manager, Your role in the team is to manage the delivery of this work, making sure that the work is completed, tested, demonstrated and released in a timely manner. You will help prioritise the right tasks, resolve any ‘blockers’ to progress and manage dependencies with other teams. You will need to understand what a good result looks like and ask appropriate questions to the team or internal customers when clarification is needed.
We use an agile Kanban approach and use Azure DevOps as our tool to manage the work alongside GitHub for code repositories.
Tasks & responsibilities include:
- Work closely with our technical teams and managers to secure delivery of solutions
- Maintain good relationships with our stakeholders to ensure we deliver the right solutions in a timely manner, fostering collaboration and managing dependencies without compromising our workflow
- Manage and monitor our internal workflow to ensure right-first-time, on-time delivery and continuous improvement
- Curate our roadmap, making sure it aligns with other divisions and wider priorities
- Set-up and facilitate meetings to gather or clarify requirements or design solutions, writing-up epic and feature outlines as required
- Report on our workflow performance and suggest improvements
- Support division line managers with workflow analysis
- Develop over time a sufficient level of technical and business understanding so that you can add value to the work of the team
- As you can see this job encompasses some elements of roles such as Business Analyst, Product Owner or Scrum Master. You may already have some experience close to those roles or you may aim to progress into one of those roles at a more senior level., * Flexible and home working policies.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, * The ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with technical and non-technical people across our geographic locations
- A very structured approach to your work but with an appropriate level of flexibility when required: in other words, you typically go strictly by the rules but also know that occasionally it’s best to bend them to get the best outcome
- An organised, methodical and analytical mind: you can see where requirements are vague or lack value and enjoy using data to track performance and support improvement
- A desire to learn about the travel industry, air travel and the technical aspects of software and analytics solutions
- Experience using our tools including Azure DevOps and the Microsoft data stack (Azure, SQL, Power BI): but we can help you learn this from experience you may have with any similar tools
- Experience of good software development practices: source control (git), CI/CD, test and release processes
