Job description
- Provide first-line IT support to colleagues across the business
- Log, prioritise and resolve support tickets alongside the company’s external IT provider
- Support and troubleshoot Windows and macOS desktops and laptops
- Administer Microsoft 365, including user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint and licences
- Complete routine software patching and device updates
- Set up equipment for new starters
- Manage IT requirements for employees joining, moving within or leaving the business
- Assist with Wi-Fi, switches, cabling and general connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate asset registers, technical documentation and knowledge-base articles
- Escalate more complex issues to senior colleagues or third-party suppliers
- Support wider IT projects and technology improvements
- Occasionally visit operational sites to install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment, including EPOS systems, computers and networking hardware
Requirements
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments
- A working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
- An understanding of software patching and update management
- Basic networking knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- A methodical and customer-focused approach
- The ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues
- A full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel occasionally to sites when required
Desirable experience
The following would be helpful but is not essential:
- Exposure to AWS or another cloud platform
- Experience supporting EPOS or till systems
- Previous experience within a multi-site business, * IT support: 1 year (preferred)

About the company
This is a varied, hands-on opportunity for someone in the early stages of their IT career who wants to develop across desktop support, Microsoft 365 administration, networking and cloud technologies.
Working as part of a small and friendly IT team, you will provide day-to-day support across the company’s head office and wider site network. You will also work alongside an external managed service provider to resolve technical issues and deliver a reliable service to users.
