Job description
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures on topics related to data analysis, cybersecurity, and information technology fundamentals
- Design and implement practical exercises, projects, and assessments that enhance student understanding and application of concepts
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, fostering a collaborative learning environment that encourages innovation and curiosity
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and technological advancements to ensure course content remains relevant and cutting-edge
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, research initiatives, and industry partnerships
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse student audiences
- Organize workshops, seminars, or guest lectures to enrich the learning experience and expose students to real-world challenges
Requirements
- Proven expertise in data analysis, cybersecurity, or related IT fields with relevant academic or professional experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues alike
- Excellent teaching abilities with a passion for sharing knowledge and fostering student success
- Exceptional communication skills in English, capable of translating technical language into accessible explanations
- Solid organizational skills to manage course planning, grading, and student engagement efficiently
- Demonstrated proficiency in IT tools, programming languages, or security software relevant to the curriculum
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Desirable: Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training) or willingness to work towards one* Experience in delivering NCFE, HTQ or apprenticeship qualifications* Familiarity with assessment and portfolio-based learning* Understanding of current and emerging trends in data analytics and digital skills development* Assessor qualifications and IQA qualifications
