Job description
The Estates Information and Data Team works closely with Information Services Division to ensure our systems, applications and data are accurate, effective and fit for purpose., We are seeking an Information & Data Quality Analyst to support UCL Estates’ data and digital transformation agenda. Reporting to the Information and Data Manager, you will help ensure high-quality information is available across the organisation to support decision-making, operational performance and compliance.
The role focuses on identifying, analysing and resolving data quality issues across multiple systems and data sources, while helping to embed a culture of data accuracy and continuous improvement. You will work closely with data owners and stakeholders to develop improvement plans, conduct data quality assessments, support governance activities and deliver meaningful reporting.
You will also play an important role in the implementation and ongoing administration of Estates’ Common Data Environment, supporting data migration activities, improving information management practices and helping ensure project and operational data is structured, consistent and accessible. Working collaboratively across Estates and with Agile Delivery teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of digital initiatives and the adoption of best practice data standards.
Requirements
You will have experience working with IWMS platforms and Common Data Environments, ideally Asite, and a strong understanding of facilities management operations and information management within a complex organisation. You will be confident working with stakeholders to improve data quality, establish standards and drive sustainable improvements in data management practices.
With excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, you will be comfortable assessing large datasets, identifying root causes and translating complex data issues into practical solutions. You will be an effective communicator who can explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language and build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder community.
You will have advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, and experience supporting data improvement initiatives through collaboration and influence. Familiarity with Agile ways of working and industry standards such as ISO 19650, the UK BIM Framework and SFG20 would be highly beneficial. Experience within higher education, estates, facilities management or the built environment, alongside knowledge of tools such as Power BI or SQL, would be advantageous.
Most importantly, you will be passionate about data quality, continuous improvement and helping create a data-driven culture that supports better outcomes across UCL Estates.
