IT Director

The role combines technology leadership with day-to-day oversight of infrastructure, systems, security, suppliers, and IT projects. You will work with senior business leaders to understand priorities and ensure technology supports operational requirements., * Lead the day-to-day IT function and set priorities for technology operations.

• Develop and maintain practical IT plans aligned with business requirements.
• Oversee infrastructure, systems, networks, cloud services, and business applications.
• Manage IT security, access controls, backup arrangements, and data protection processes.
• Lead and support IT projects, system upgrades, migrations, and technology improvements.
• Manage relationships with external IT suppliers, software providers, and service partners.
• Monitor IT performance, service levels, incidents, and operational risks.
• Review technology costs, supplier agreements, and IT budgets.
• Establish and maintain appropriate IT policies, procedures, and standards.
• Work with department leaders to understand technology needs and priorities.
• Ensure IT systems are maintained, documented, and appropriately supported.
• Provide guidance and direction to IT staff and support professional development.
• Review major incidents and ensure appropriate corrective actions are followed through.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Report on IT performance, risks, projects, and priorities to senior management., Occasional additional support may be required for major system changes, critical incidents, or planned maintenance.

• Proven experience in IT management, IT operations, infrastructure leadership, or a similar senior technology role.
• Experience managing IT services across infrastructure, systems, applications, and support.
• Good understanding of Microsoft technologies, cloud services, networking, and cybersecurity.
• Experience managing technology suppliers and service providers.
• Strong understanding of IT governance, data protection, and operational risk.
• Experience managing IT projects, budgets, and service priorities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and business applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical technology plans.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Relevant IT qualification or equivalent professional experience.
